The craft behind the tub

An ancient trade.
A modern soak.

Hudson Valley Hot Tubs creates premium, handcrafted cedar hot tubs using time-honored woodworking techniques and the highest-grade western red cedar. Every tub is made by hand — not mass-produced, not acrylic, and never plastic.

A cedar hot tub from Hudson Valley Hot Tubs is not a product pulled from a catalog — it is a vessel made specifically for your space, your family, and your piece of the Hudson Valley.

  • Naturally insulating — Cedar keeps water warm longer and reduces energy use.
  • Aromatic & therapeutic — The natural scent of cedar enhances relaxation.
  • Eco-friendly — Sustainably sourced, biodegradable, and chemical-resistant.
  • Long-lasting beauty — Cedar ages gracefully, developing a rich patina over time.
  • Quiet soaking experience — No loud jets. Just heat, water, and nature.

Common questions

What people ask
before they buy

Are cedar hot tubs worth it?

Yes — cedar hot tubs last 20+ years with proper care, age beautifully, and carry none of the maintenance issues of acrylic tubs.

Are cedar hot tubs hard to maintain?

Not if you stay on top of the basics. We walk every customer through a full maintenance routine at installation.

How long does a cedar hot tub last?

20 to 30 years or more with proper care. The wood performs better over time as staves swell and form a tighter seal.

How often should I change the water?

Every 3 to 4 months with regular use. Full seasonal drain and refill twice a year keeps cedar in excellent condition.

Can you put Epsom salt in a cedar hot tub?

Yes, in moderation. Gentler on cedar than chlorine-heavy regimens. We'll advise on the right protocol at consultation.

Do you serve my area?

We serve Dutchess, Columbia, Greene, Ulster, Orange, Putnam, Westchester, and Sullivan counties. If you're in the Hudson Valley or Catskills, the answer is almost certainly yes.
